About Captain Custard

Captain Custard is a kid friendly comic, written and illustrated by Richard Stevens.

Captain Custard is about the crew of the SGS Tartanium – a team of intergalactic peacekeepers who, with the help of their leader, Captain Custard, wind up in more trouble than they manage to prevent.

About the creator

Hi, I’m Richard Stevens. I’m the creator of Captain Custard and the Director of Tooner Fish Studios. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I’m now based in Auckland with my wife Hayley and our two boys, Luke and Eliott.

I’ve been drawing characters and creating stories all my life. Captain Custard started as an idea when I was 11 years old and has since evolved into a series of intergalactic adventures for all ages.

With the launch of Captain Custard, I hope to share my lifelong love for visual media and stories, and inspire a whole new generation of young storytellers.
